Mary Jansen Trevithick

The Lord has summoned another Angel to His Kingdom. Mary Jansen Trevithick passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Chet Jansen and Arthur Trevithick; her parents, Charles and Edna Balistreri; and her brothers, Oscar and Andrew.

Mary is survived by her children, Jan Zellerhoff, Kathy Fennell (Doug), James Jansen (Debbie), Jeff Jansen (Teresa), Pam Garcia (Tom), Karen Gurerro (Bobby), Jon Jansen (Jan), Joni Jansen (Dave), Maryann Webb; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one step-daughter; three step-sons; and all the 'un-kids' who showed up on her doorstep that she nourished.

Mary spent her life traveling the world with her military husband Chet and family. Chet retired in Albuquerque and after his death she married Arthur. They rode their Harley, camped in the 5th wheel and enjoyed life.

Mary was always there for her kids' school activities: home-coming court, band, drill team, football, basketball, baseball, science fairs, plays, PTA and anything else her kids were involved in. She volunteered her time generously including Jr. ROTC, the VA, American Legion Post 99 and held every office imaginable with the VFW Post 401. She also belonged to the St. Bernadette and Sangre de Cristo Catholic communities.

Mary will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Private entombment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Please join us at the public celebration of her life to take place on Sat., Feb. 17, 2018 beginning at 11 am at the Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, 6600 Zuni SE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to Share Your Care, PO Box 35101, Alb. NM 87176.
