Marlin, Michael W.

Michael W. Marlin, age 79, devoted husband and chaplain, passed away quietly at his home on Sunday morning August 13, 2017. Mike was born in Springfield, MA on 9/20/37 and soon thereafter the family moved to Topeka, KS where he was a standout on the Topeka High School Football team before continuing his education at Washburn University. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity to strangers, and open door policy for stray dogs. While most of his career was spent on the road as a salesman for Kwikset followed by Stanley Black & Decker, the most rewarding chapter of his career was serving as Chaplain alongside Donna at many local hospitals and other facilities.

Mike is survived by his wife and soul-mate Donna Marlin of Rio Rancho; his son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Kim Marlin of Flower Mound, Texas, and Donna's children; Adrienne & Anthony Rivera of Rio Rancho, NM and David Hudson of Albuquerque, NM. Preceding him in death were his parents Albert & Jeanette Marlin and an infant twin brother Joseph. Also touching his life was his best friend Billy Galarneau, and Alda Beck.

For all who knew Mike he would have wanted you to join in his Celebration of Life to be held at 4 pm. Sunday August 27, 2017 at the Anchor Point Church located at: 6751 Pasilla Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144 A light meal & fellowship will be provided immediately following. Please bring a favorite story or memory to share.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Go Fund Me account to help with his medical bills. You can access the site by going to
