Cordova, Mildred Carmella



Mildred Carmella Cordova, age 66, of Albuquerque New Mexico, passed away at home on Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was born in Staten Island New York on August 29, 1950. Mildred graduated and received a Degree in Nursing from the University of New Mexico. She was married to Daniel Gabriel Cordova on October 25, 1975.

Mildred had so many talents and experience in different careers, she worked as an Officer for the Albuquerque Police Department, she was an E.R. and Burn and Trauma Nurse at The University of New Mexico Hospital, also a foster parent. When she retired she became a victim's advocate for those who needed a voice. She enjoyed working on her yard, cooking, going to the casino, being a mom and genuinely helping people. Mildred also was actively involved in giving to numerous charities throughout the years.

She is survived by her husband Daniel G. Cordova, son Edward Armijo, and daughters Charmaine Cordova and Rochelle Birk.

Mom, you were an awesome wife and mother. You are irreplaceable, your uniqueness will never be forgotten. You will be missed every day, you were someone so special and beautiful to this world. You were taken away from us way to early, our peace is knowing you will not be in pain anymore. You have accomplished many things in life you were such a good and simple soul you left behind that example we will carry forward everyday till we meet again. We love you so much.
