Monte Fuller Obituary
Fuller, Monte

Monte Fuller passed through this life on April 7th, 2016. Born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1934, Monte's family relocated to the Texas Gulf Coast when she was 12 years old. The family settled in La Marque, Texas where she met her future husband, Danny Fuller in junior high school (at a Sadie Hawkins Day dance) and they were together for the rest of their lives. Married in 1954, they had a daughter in 1955. Two sons followed, in 1958 and 1960.

Monte was preceded in death by her parents, Elmont and Thelma Ullum, her husband Dan, her sister Mary Lee, her infant son Bradley and her daughter, Geri.

She is survived by her son Dan and grandson Joseph of Albuquerque, New Mexico, two grandsons, Timothy Folk of Houston, Nathan and Paige Folk of Dallas, and their three children who were Monte's cherished great grandchildren.

Monte took joy in the care of her family and her scores of friends. She was a woman of strong spiritual faith, creativity and loyalty to all those she knew. Relocating to Albuquerque in 2011 to be closer to her son, Monte met and made friends easily. Those who encountered her knew instantly that they had made a friend and she kept in contact with a remarkable number of the people she knew in her life. She was loved and admired for her generosity of spirit by all those she befriended. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered by those who remain, for her love of laughter and her caring. Rest in peace, Mom, Gram, friend. You touched our lives and we will meet you on the other side.

In lieu of flowers or donations, share an act of kindness today and every day.
