Nancy Carolyn Reynolds

Nancy Carolyn Reynolds passed on Monday, October 9, 2017 at home surrounded by her daughter Patti and her family, as she wished. Nancy was born July 15, 1932, In Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Wallace Elmo and Marjorie Eloise (Robertson) Reynolds, the second of their four children. She was raised In Albuquerque, excepting two years when she lived in California where her father worked on the Shasta Dam project. Nancy graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended the University of New Mexico where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. In her adult years she worked at Fishback Studio as a dance assistant, a job she loved. She then worked for Phillip Hubbell, her uncle dubbed locally as Mr. Republican." In his real estate and insurance office located on Gold Street. Throughout the years she held a number of other office positions in both New Mexico and California. In her later years she opened Reynolds Art Gallery in Albuquerque's Old Town Plaza and took great pride and joy in this endeavor, having found her niche.

The family hopes that those who knew Nancy will remember her as the caring and selfless person she was. She had a wonderful sense of humor and memories abound of the many laughs that were shared with her. Her love of sports, both as a participant in her early years and an observer later, brought her much enjoyment. She had an intelligent, inquisitive mind and was always ready to discuss the latest current event. Nancy leaves behind family and friends who loved her and admired her tenacity through the difficulties life sometimes dealt her. She never stopped consciously trying to be the best person she could be and leaves us with this good example.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Patti Francis and son-in-law Michael and their children, Rhiannon (Jonathan) Hernandez, Courtney Francis, and Mike Francis; her daughter Valerie (Ken) Bordlemay and their children, Natalie and Megan; and her brother Stephen (Judy) Reynolds, and numerous nieces and nephews.
