Walker, Norman "Rick" Richard



Rick Walker, 61, of Albuquerque, passed away on May 9, 2016 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Rick was born on November 26, 1954, in Roswell, NM to Kenneth and Connie Walker. He was the oldest of five children. His sisters are Deborah Stewart (Steven) and Sandra Lopez (James) of Albuquerque, Sheri Dawson (David), and Teri Wood (Michael) of Ruidoso. He was an outstanding member of the community and friendly with everyone. He was a member of A.F.S.C.M.E and served on many boards including, President of Local 1888. He also served on the East Heights Moose Lodge board and was Governor for the last 2 years. He was very active fisherman and hunter and lived life to the fullest.

Rick is survived by his partner, Deborah Reames Straub; his three daughters, Rebekah Oliverira (Mario) from California and Melissa Gallegos (Matthew) and Jacqueline Walker of Albuquerque. Rick adored his nine grandchildren, Jazmine, Samantha, Gage, Jordin, Gavin, Jaidin, Xitlali, Caid, and Raider. Rick is leaving behind many cherished aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

A family memorial will be help on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Towne Park Clubhouse, 425 Towne Park Dr. NE Albuquerque, NM 87123.

A Celebration of Life will be held by his partner and friends during the month of June. More information to be posted or you can email [email protected] for details.
