Peggy Ann Love Coward

Peggy Ann Love Coward, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, peacefully passed away at her home on January 15, 2019 at the age of 85. Peggy was born on February 14, 1933 to Louis and Kitty (Morelock) Love on a farm in Chucky, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor's degree in English from Emery and Henery and taught for several years after her children were grown.

On October 3, 1955 she married William (Frosty) Coward in Chucky, Tennesee. Peggy was a devoted wife of 57 years to this fun loving air force pilot. She raised her three children moving every one to three years. Peggy was a southern lady full of grace, charm, and hospitality. Her sweet and quiet demeanor filled every room she entered. She was incredibly strong as she courageously battled the debilitating effects of disease. Her composure and grace remained with her through the end. She was preceded in death by her husband Frosty on Feb 5, 2012. She is survived by her three daughters, Christie Blake (Tom), Lisa Sandoval (Cam Larry Campbell), Melinda Fairchild (Dave); three grandchildren, Danielle, Brock and Halie; her sister Wilma Dean Rumgay and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her caregivers over the past few years: first and foremost her daughter, Lisa, who opened her heart and home and arranged her care; Cam, who was there for Mrs. C. continually and for Lisa; Brock, who was willing and ready to pitch in as necessary; and to Sister Teresa and Vera who were with her until the end and treated her like their own. Thanks also to Heritage Hospice for their support and compassion. Peggy was so loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial to celebrate her life on Saturday, January, 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at 413 El Rey Dr. Corrales, NM. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Peggy's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
