Peter Orlando Mondragon

We lost the

kindest, most

big hearted,

honest, and most trusting soul on God's great Earth. Peter Orlando Mondragon was welcomed back into the arms of all whom he loved so much, that had passed on before him, and entered the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the afternoon of Sat., September 16th, 2017.

Peter was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. Peter had a passion for making Kiva Fireplaces, building, and fixing. However, all of those paled in comparison with his love of singing at "the drop of a hat", anywhere, anytime, for any reason. No one could sing "Ave Maria", or "They Call The Wind Maria" quite like Peter.

He is survived by his "Number One Son" PeterShawn Mondragon, and loving wife Darlene, Nathan and Billy Mondragon, and whom he loved like his own daughter, Nicole Mondragon, Brothers: Ramon, Roberto and Fred Mondragon, Sisters: Estefanita Bradshaw, Loretta Alvarez, and preceded in death by Marcella F. Johnson. Peter is also survived my numberous nieces and nephews. It was his wish to be buried next to his father, Severo Mondragon, and mother Lucia, in his hometown of Delia, Anton Chico.

Rosary will be Friday., Sept. 22nd recited by his brother Roberto at 10:30am, with the funeral mass at 11:00am, at San Jose Church, 1081 Iglesia Rd, 87711 Anton Chico, NM. Burial will follow immediately after mass at the Dilia Cemetary in Dilia, NM. Services are through Nelson Funeral Home, of Las Vegas, NM.
