Phillip L. Heath

Phillip L. Heath died of natural causes on Oct. 10, 2017. He was born on May 15, 1934 on the Valley Farm near Howesville, IN. to Everett and Sylvia Heath. He was the oldest of 8 children. He grew up on a farm near Jasonville, IN., where he learned early how to drive a Farmall tractor & work on the farm. He graduated from Coalmont High School & went to work for Ford & later Chrysler. In 1964, he began working for Eastern Airlines in Louisville, KY, followed by Indianapolis, IN., & finally Orlando, FL. He was a baggage handler for 25 1/2 years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, five of his siblings, as well as his wife Shirley of 28 years. He has six children: Phillip Jr. of Indianapolis, IN., Stephen (Diana) of Tijeras, N.M., Joyce of Cottonwood, AZ., Richard (Kristine) of Flatrock, IN., Sally (Lee) of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Suzi (Michael) of Mesa, AZ. He also has three step-children: Marsha (David) of Meridian, MS., Kim Cross of Indianapolis, IN., and Mark (Mayra) of The Villages, FL. He has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed riding his Goldwing motorcycle, earlier in life and was a proud member of the local Chapter F and Chapter N Goldwing groups. Special thanks to the staff at The Rio Grande Retirement Living for all their care. He had many friends there, where he lived out his final years.

No services will take place, due to Phillip's wishes. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the National Parkinson's Association, or the would be appreciated
