Priscilla Trowbridge Obituary
Trowbridge, Priscilla

Priscilla Anne Trowbridge, a long-time Albuquerque resident; keen appreciator of food purveyors ranging from Buffett's Candies to Cafe Istanbul; and fan of the Tony Hillerman Library, KUNM, her beloved cat Mikey, quiet, and the beauty of nature-died peacefully on December 15th. She was 77 and is greatly missed by her son, Josh; daughter-in-law, Mariah; and grandson, Griffin.

Priscilla was a graduate of Radcliffe College and the University of Chicago. Priscilla taught at Drexel University in Philadelphia and was a staffer at the University of Pennsylvania's alumni magazine. She lived for a time in Colorado and returned to Albuquerque to take care of her mother. She enjoyed working with the Red Cross in the Albuquerque area for several years.

Priscilla was the daughter of Margery and Hoyt Trowbridge; Hoyt was an English professor at the University of New Mexico. Priscilla's deeply loved brother, Stephen, died in 2004. Tina, Steve's wife; their children, Anna and Sam; as well as Steve's son Christopher and Chris's wife, Wakaba; son, Oscar; and daughter, Ramona, are gathering in Albuquerque this week with Griffin, Mariah, and Josh to remember Priscilla and Steve.

The family invites you to join them for an informal gathering at Los Poblanos Inn and Farm (4803 Rio Grande Blvd NW) on Friday, February 19, at 2:00pm.
