Randy B. Ward, 68, passed away July 12, 2015 at Duke University Cancer Center, Durham, NC with his loving wife by his side. Randy valiantly fought a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was born November 2, 1946 in Guilford County, NC.

Preceded in death by parents Edna M. and Roy D. Ward; brother Carlton D. Ward and wife Elsie; and step-son Shawn Naylor.

Survived by his wife Carole; daughters Tiffany (grandchildren Dominique, Emilio, D.J., Marcus, and Eric); and Allison; step-son James Naylor (grandsons Shawn and Michael); sisters Joetta (Bill) Robinette and Linda (Ted) Thompson.

Randy proudly served his country for over 30 years with the United States Air Force and the NM Air National Guard, Albuquerque. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 13, Albuquerque, NM and served as Post Commander and Dept. of NM Vice Commander. He devoted his life to providing volunteer services to veterans, children, needy families, community and nation.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1:00pm - 3:30 pm at the American Legion Post 13, 1201 Mountain Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.

The family would be honored if you would join in celebrating the loving, caring and wonderful life he lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Randy Ward to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 6100 Indian School Rd NE, Suite 225, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
