Harrington, Richard J.

Richard J. Harrington died on February 5, 2017 from complications of pancreatic cancer. He was 66. Rick is survived by his beloved wife, best friend, and wonderful caregiver, Teresa Baker Harrington. He is also survived by his two children, Andrew Harrington (and Jenny) of Spokane WA and Meagan Hayes (and Brandon) of Byron GA. Rick was a very fun grandpa to his four grandsons, Brandon and Aioden Harrington of Spokane WA, and Damien and Dustin Hayes of Byron GA. He was a faithful son to his late parents, Terry and Nancy Harrington, and a loyal and generous brother to Tom Harrington and Connie Harrington of Albuquerque, and Kerry Fachan of Hawaii. Rick is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of the most wonderful friends a man could have.

Some lives are measured by their accomplishments, and Rick was not without his, including his long career in property management in Albuquerque. But Rick's life and his legacy can be defined by the more important qualities of a human life. He had a kind and generous heart, and an unwavering love and loyalty for his family and friends. Rick was always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was a quiet, patient, even-tempered, and humble man by nature, yet had a great sense of humor and was very fun-loving. He enjoyed all things Lobo, golfing at Pendaries, and the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Like his grandfather before him, Rick made friends wherever he roamed. He will be forever loved.
