Rood, Richard A.

Richard A. Rood, Sergeant USMC, April 24, 1950- March 21, 2017

With a heavy and loving heart we tip our hats to you old man after losing a valiant battle with cancer. Know this: You will be remembered for your hard working, calloused and rough hands. Hands that detailed a history of life's demands. You will be remembered for your persistence and assiduity. You will remain a man who would illuminate fortitude and integrity. Never a man to be the center of attention. Always unpretentious: strong in character and without exception honest.

You will always be a man who was cherished by his family. Lynda A Ricard Rood, Your Manzano prom date on May 11, 1968 to your loving wife on October 11, 1969. Your son Rick Rood and his wife Claudine Rood. Your daughter, Wendy A Rood Valla and her husband Mike Valla. Your six grandchildren, Jordan Sabol, Karieanne Rood, Kaitlyn Rood, Ryan Hammond, Tad Rood and SPC Toby Oliver US Army. Until we see you again, Semper Fi.
