Robert Paul Rael

Robert Paul Rael, age 27, was escorted into Heaven on January 2nd, 2018 by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Robert was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 10, 1990 to Robert G. Rael and Marie D. Romero. Robert was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico until the age of 14, then moved to Arizona where he resided for the rest of his life but continued to visit his New Mexico family on frequent basis.

He was preceded in death by his Godmother, Annabelle Grubb.

Robert is survived by his father, Robert G. Rael (Anna); his mother, Marie D. Romero; paternal grandparents, Robert I. Rael and Geraldine Rael from Albuquerque; maternal grandmother, Olga Romero from Phoenix. He also leaves behind his uncles, Daniel Rael from Albuquerque and John Romero from Phoenix; aunts Roberta Anderle (Dan) from San Diego, Victoria (Carrie) from Phoenix; and his Godfather, Carl Grubb, from Albuquerque.

Robert was so full of life, always joking, loved to hug and be hugged. His expression of love towards his mom, dad, grandmas and grandpa as well as those he loved was sincere. He was one of the most generous and caring individuals one could ever know. Robert loved every kind of toy from bicycles, dirt bikes and electronic technology no matter how complicated it was. "Junior", as he was often referred to, was a prankster and loved to laugh at the recipient's reaction. He loved to cook, try new recipes and sometimes inventing his own. He loved to read his Bible and if one were to open his Bible one would find highlighted passages, verses and proverbs which inspired his life. Junior loved camping, fishing, hiking, riding his bicycle and dirt bike. Growing up he enjoyed going to the cabin in New Mexico where he would fish, play in the stream, hike in the woods and snow boarding in New Mexico and Colorado.

Junior will forever remain in our hearts and will always be missed by those who knew him. The void he leaves in our hearts will be filled by the wonderful memories he leaves behind.

Funeral services were held in Phoenix on Saturday, January 13th. A memorial service and rosary will be held on Friday, January 19th, 2018 at 6:00 p.. at Queen of Heaven Church, 5300 Claremont Ave.
