Roberto Lovato Obituary
Lovato, Roberto

1979 - 2016

Roberto Andres Lovato "Bert" of Belen, NM, passed away quietly on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, with his family at his side after suffering a sudden cardiac episode. He was born in Albuquerque, NM, on June 13, 1979, and had just celebrated his 37th birthday. Bert is the son of Richard Lovato and the late Virginia Lee Chavez Lovato.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manual C. Chavez, Mary S. Chavez and Nila P. Chavez; and his paternal grandparents, Jack and Louise (Griego) Lovato.

Bert is survived by two loving daughters, Amris E. Lovato of Belen, NM, and Crystal Lee Lovato of ID; and his siblings, Richard P. Lovato Jr. of TX, Michaele "Shelly" Lovato Moore and husband, John of NC, Ron Silva and wife, Becky of Los Lunas and Deanna Marquez and husband, Rudy of Belen. He is also survived and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bert was a caring and compassionate person who was currently working as a health care provider. He was a talented artist and loved to paint and carve. He dearly loved his father and mother and he spent countless hours with his father maintaining and managing their rental properties. Family members could always count on Bert to help them out when they needed maintenance work around the house. He loved the outdoors and some of his happiest times were when he was out hunting or fishing with his family or working on the family cabin in Aragon, NM. Bert loved his entire family and was loyal to his all friends. He loved growing roses. Bert loved siting around a campfire telling stories and visiting with family members and friends. He had a big heart and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Bert: we will miss your stories and your kindness, but we will especially miss your smile and your laughter. We are comforted in the knowledge that you are now with your Creator.

All services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, New Mexico, on Saturday, July 2, 2016. A Public Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.
