Ronald

Keith Banks,

died on

September

27, 2018 in

his home in

Albuquerque, New Mexico

after a six

year battle with mesothelioma cancer.

Ron was born the second oldest of four children on June 6, 1947. He was born in Albuquerque, New

Mexico to Earl and

Winifred Banks.

He graduated from Rio Grande High School and the University of New

Mexico with a degree

in Spanish.

Ron served a LDS mission to Bolivia and Peru.

He met the love of his life, Carlota Leonarda Lara in Albuquerque and they were married July 21,1971 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. Exactly one year later their only child,

Joseph H.Banks was born.

Ron and his family made their homes in Aurora, Illinois, Gilbert,

Arizona, and

Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Ron was

a wonderful

husband,

father,brother, uncle and friend.

He was an

avid bird watcher, bird photographer, and poet.

He was also a scholar in many areas. Ron is survived by

his wife, Carlota

Leonarda (Lee) Banks,

his son, Joseph Banks,

and his siblings, Gordon (Charlee) Banks, Linda

(Michael) Brown and

Peggy (Jerry) Duke.

A viewing will be

held Wednesday evening,

October 3, 2018 from

5:00 - 7:00 p.m at Riverside Mortuary located at 225 San Mateo N.E. Thursday, October 4, 2018; a viewing will be held from 9:00 - 9:50 a.m. with the funeral

following at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

located at

8130 Sage Rd. S.W.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Ronald Banks...he was always friendly, polite, and a fine person. I used to ride in his car to early morning Seminary every other week or so. Again, sorry for your loss...gone too young.
