Rose Mary Bungartz Obituary
Bungartz, Rose Mary

On April 16, 1916 the world welcomed a spunky, charismatic woman named Rose Mary DeWolfe (Bungartz) and on July 1, 2015 it said goodbye, just shy of her 100th birthday. She was delivered in a small home in Marion County, Ohio by the father of the 29th president, Warren G. Harding, who arrived at her home in a horse-drawn carriage. She was one of nine children born to her mother and was the last to pass away. She was a secretary for Pillsbury in California until she was 72 years old and was a well-known artist for her exquisite floral china paintings which occupied her time until her 90's.

Her true love was her late husband of 37 years, Ernest Jerome Bungartz (Vietnam Veteran), whom had passed away almost 15 years prior to her. She moved to Bullhead City, Arizona after his death and remained there for the rest of her life. She missed him terribly, but they are finally reunited and dancing with the stars.

She is survived by her best friend, Carolyn Velando, as well as many friends who loved and admired her for her classy attitude, humor, and fascinating stories of her life. She is missed, but fondly remembered.

As the year anniversary of her passing approaches, Carolyn wishes to send her love and warmest sentiments to the memory of this amazing woman whose life had lit the light of so many who knew her.
