Sharon Cook Obituary
Cook, Sharon Irene

At 7:01 am on Sunday, November 20, 2016 a light dimmed here on Earth and a bright new light appeared up above. Sharon Irene Cook, loving wife, mother and shining light passed away at home with family. Sharon was born October 15, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Alfred Adrian Hudon and Jean Dyer. She met her life-long love Bob on Friday the thirteenth in June of 1952 and married August 2, the same year. Bob and Sharon traveled the world with their four children as an Air Force family before retiring in 1976 in Albuquerque, New Mexico where they lived and continued their travels until moving to Twin Falls, Idaho in 2014.

Sharon leaves behind her spouse Bob, daughter Debra (Jeff) Matier of Twin Falls, Idaho, son David (Debbie) Cook of Albuquerque, New Mexico, as well as 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.

Sharon is preceded by her parents Alfred and Jean and sons Darren and Rob.

She was kind, giving and always had a smile and encouraging words. In lieu of flowers the family requests your smile and donations to the Rio Grande Zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico where Sharon was a docent volunteer for 22 years. No public services are planned.

Sharon will be cremated and her ashes interned with husband Bob at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
