Sharon Theiler Obituary
Theiler, Sharon Lee

Sharon Lee Theiler, age 69, a resident of Bosque Farms, NM, passed away, at her home, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Sharon was born in Portland, OR. Her family moved to New Mexico when she was a child and she attended Rio Grande High School. At age 17 she married Mike Theiler and they shared nearly 53 years together. Sharon was known for her generous spirit and no nonsense attitude. For several years she and her best friend, Linda ran the Bosque Farms Fair, bringing it back from the brink of extinction. She was a stay at home mom until her children were all grown, though she wasn't home much because there was too much work to be done. She volunteered much of her time at school, not to help her own children, but to help the teachers and be there for the children that might not be so fortunate. Her biggest passion was her grandchildren who believed she made the best grilled cheese sandwiches. Much to the frustration of her children while growing up, she knew everything and she was never wrong. She didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, she told you what you needed to hear. Blood didn't define family, for her, it was love and over the years her family grew exponentially. She wasn't only a mom to her children but to all their friends. Her marriage to Mike was an inspiration to everybody as they understood you didn't always have to like each other as long as the love never wavered.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Orpha and Verren Johnston; sister, Barbara Houchin; brothers, Kenneth and Daniel Johnston.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Theiler; son, John Theiler and his wife, Athena; daughters, Sandra and Shelly and her husband, William Shultz; sister, Shirley Whitcomb; brothers, Gary and James Johnston; grandchildren, Tylor, Savanna, Shelby, Nevaeh, Cohyn, Michael and Isaac.

Services will be held at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel on Saturday October 1, beginning with a visitation at 11:30 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 pm.
