Sylvia Lovato Reed, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 5th 2016.

Sylvia was born on Sept. 10th 1926 in San Luis N.M.. She was blessed to be raised with five brothers, four sisters and loving parents.

Sylvia met and married Esequiel Sandoval. They had three daughters until his death 1956. In 1962 Sylvia married Pete Reed and together with their son had a happy marriage until his passing in 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents Felix and Florinda Lovato, brothers Solamon, Meno, Mel and Amarante, sister Josie Valencia, brothers-in-law Mariano Valencia, Joe Miera and Manuel Olivas, sisters-in-law Vangie Lovato and Laura Lovato.

Sylva is survived by her daughters Patty Wood (Ken), Mae Powell (Larry) and Barbara Sandoval (Pat) son Phil Reed; sisters: Dolores Olivas (Manuel), Rafe Taylor (Robert)and Riena Miera (Joe); brother Alex Lovato (Ruth); grandchildren: Robert Reed (Liz), Ryan Wood (Eva), Cory Wood and Jennifer Reed; great-grandchildren Kayla and Ali Reed, Aysha Zeidan and Tonait Tunsil; and numerous nieces and nephews who love and will miss their Auntie Sylvia.

Her warm smile,caring nature and love of family and friends will be missed by all.

The family wishes to thank Heritage Hospice Staff Loretta, Matt and Chaplain Gary for all the comfort and kind words they had for us and our beloved mother. We would also like to thank Father Pete, Father Bernard (Jemez/San Ysidro) and Father Noel (Philippines) for bringing mom Holy Communion, Anointment and their comforting prayers.

Services will be held at St.Thomas in Rio Rancho N.M. on July 14th 2016. Rosary will be said 10:00am followed by a Mass at 10:30. Reception following the Mass at the church's hall.

Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date.
