Tasia White

Tasia White, born Natalie Ann Steinbach, passed away the morning of Friday, September 15, 2017, at her home in Albuquerque, at the age of 66.

She is survived by her brother Paul Steinbach & brother Peter Steinbach, as well as by her sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Frances. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her elder brother and best friend, Tom Steinbach. Her brother Dave passed away in June. Tasia was born January 30, 1951, in Chicago, IL.

She studied sculpture and jewelry in college and displayed remarkable talent for portraiture. She briefly worked for a dental laboratory, sculpting dentures which were praised as stylistically superior to human teeth. She also worked in jewelry production & greeting cards & calendars. Unfortunately her artistic career was curtailed by environmental illness in her later years. Tasia spent the last four years homebound, attended by loving caregivers, as earlier she herself had spent a decade serving lovingly in eldercare. Tasia was a devoted Roman Catholic who prayed the Rosary every day. She blessed the life of every person who ever met her & was a spiritual foundation to her parents & to her four brothers.

She was celebrated in a Mass at the Norbertine Community on September 23, 2017. Her life was a gift to people, and her death is a gift to Heaven.
