Thomas Keohane Obituary
Keohane, Thomas V.

Thomas V. Keohane, born June 26, 1929 in Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on December 21, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM.

Survived by his cherished wife of 61 years, Joan M. Keohane (nee Kager), seven children, Thomas, Michael, Susan (Morikawa), Robert, James, Jack and Timothy, three siblings, and thirteen grandchildren.

Tom stated "nothing in his life turned out as he expected, but that was a good thing." Raised in Buffalo, New York, Tom met his wife Joan there on an arranged date. Joan had met Tom's brother through a friend and liked him so much she asked if he had a brother. Luckily, he did. Tom was serving in the Air Force when they married in 1955, and they lived for a time in Waco, Texas. After serving in the Air Force, they returned to Buffalo, New York, where they raised seven children with lots of humor and fun. Tom flew for American Airlines for over 30 years, where he was a beloved member of the "108s". They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1985, and he retired from the airlines in 1988. Tom was an avid golfer and a long-time member of Tanoan Country Club. In 1989, he began a second career assisting his son Jack with payroll and accounting at ABC Seamless, Inc. No one loved to laugh more than Tom Keohane, despite the fact that his beloved Buffalo Bills broke his heart every year since the 1970's.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, Tom requests that you tip more often.
