Nash, Thomas M. (Tom)

Thomas M.(Tom) Nash,64, recently of Las Vegas, NV, passed away after a lengthy illness. Tom was born to Alberta Nash(nee Metcalfe) and John E. Nash on Long Island, NY, on September 20, 1951.

Tom is survived by his mother, Alberta (Babs) Nash of Albuquerque, sisters; Kathryn Nash-Williams of Albuquerque, Kelly M. Wilner and brother-in-law, Joel Wilner of Santa Fe, NM; brother, Dan Nash of Albuquerque; Jeanne Plumeri, fiance and loving caregiver of Las Vegas NV. Tom also leaves behind one Uncle, Robert (Bob) Metcalfe of Saint John, NB, Canada; two aunts, Peggy Abad of Long Island, NY and Alice Soencksen and Uncle, Hans Soencksen of CT. Tom also leaves behind numerous cousins in Canada and in NY.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, John E.(Jay) Nash of Albuquerque. Tom graduated high school in 1969, then served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Japan as a Military Policeman and Corrections Officer. Tom always lived life his way. He was a talented and artistic man. He loved raising his three Great Danes and became an elegant ballroom dancer and instructor for many years. He also enjoyed golf and surf fishing. He will be missed by family and many friends from everywhere, including his many FaceBook buddies.

As per Tom's wishes, there will be no service. His cremains are being returned home to Albuquerque to be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family requests that any gifts or memorials in Tom's name be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910
