Plummer, Thomas Lee



Thomas Lee Plummer, 74, from Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 3 at UNMH surrounded by his loving family. Born March 13, 1942 in Deadwood, SD. He attended Deadwood High School where he was a dedicated athlete and student. He later received an Associate in Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Central Technical Institute in Kansas City, MO. After graduating, he was recruited by Sandia National Laboratories where he worked for more than 31 years and retired in 1997.

Cherished by many, Tom was a loving and giving husband, father, and grandfather that had an incredible sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. An avid UNM Lobos basketball fan and season ticket holder, he was known for his athleticism. Tom was a talented fast-pitch softball pitcher, 5K runner, snow skier/racer that won several competitions, and continued to ski until his final days.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mona Plummer, son Mark Plummer, daughters Leighann Plummer, Tiffany Plummer Castellvi (Enrique) and two grandchildren Samantha Plummer and Ozzi Plummer. He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters in-law and their children. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Aldine Plummer, stepfather Stan Running, and infant daughter Kara Elyse Plummer.

Funeral mass will be Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Risen Savior Catholic Community located at 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Alb, 87109. Interment will be held at a later date.
