Timothy Packer Obituary

Packer, Timothy D.



Timothy D. Packer, 67, died unexpectedly on July 10, 2016 from complications associated with transplant. He died at The University of New Mexico Hospital with his loving wife in attendance.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mortimer Allen Packer and his sister, Jane Lefebvre.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Whittaker; his mother, Mildred Emma (Klepper) Packer; sisters, Susan, Sally, Mary, Jill; brother-in-laws, Doug Lefebvrfe and Phil Clarke; nieces, Simone and Margaret and nephew Tom.

Tim served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1972. After military service, he attained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. Tim retired in 2014 after many years working for Improve Group, where he worked as a salesman in Albuquerque, NM and in SW Colorado.

He enjoyed reading, music, watching old movies, sports, fishing, skiing, gardening, birdwatching, baking, long walks and spending quiet times at home. He loved the Green Bay Packers. He treasured moments spent with family and friends. He had a highly developed sense of humor and a genuine ability to touch the hearts of those who knew him.

His cremains will be interred privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie, Wisconsin by immediate family.

I was saddened to hear this. I was friends with him a long time ago when he shared a house with my friend, Timi, from Israel. Even though we lost contact over the years, I remember his kindness and great sense of humor. My sincere condolences.
