Thomas Eugene Monette lovingly entered into the world of his Lord on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Winston, Oregon while resting in his "Big Rig" Tractor Trailer.

Tom or "Mo" as sometimes called, was a native of Albuquerque, N.M. born on the day of his mother's birthday, February 21, 1954.

Tom was the fourth of five children in his Catholic family.

Growing up Tom loved his motorcycle, and also began a lifelong interest in music by learning to play the guitar during those days of "Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll".

Tom played in many bands with diverse music, most notably with the Bobby Freeman Group, and eventually as the Bass Guitar player for Bo Diddley while entertaining in Las Vegas in the late 90's.

Tom eventually settled back in Albuquerque while living and caring for his disabled father Elmer.

Tom was a Long Haul Driver for the Werner Trucking Co. driving throughout the lower 48 states.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Marian Monette and is survived by his son, BlueStar; sister Susan Monette Caffey of Las Vegas, NV; brothers Philip and John of Albuquerque, NM., and Peter of Aztec, NM.

Tom's Life Celebration will be held with a Remembrance on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This gathering will be held a the "Chapel", on the grounds of the Mt. Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102, (505) 243-0218.
