Victor De Angelis



Victor De Angelis went home to the Lord on September 26, 2017. He was 75 years old. Victor was born August 26, 1942 in Gallup, NM, to Giovanni and Lauretta De Angelis. He was the oldest of four siblings, and is survived by: John De Angelis (Cindy) of Flagstaff, AZ, JoAnn De Angelis Tomita (Steve) of Albuquerque and Janet De Angelis Vasilian of Albuquerque, but was preceded in death by his father, Giovanni and his mother, Lauretta.

Victor graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic School in Gallup and St. Joseph on the Rio Grande University in Albuquerque. He then went on to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Victor was first employed in his most beloved position as the business manager of St. Pius High School. Later he went on to UNM as the Payroll Administrator and finished his employment with & retired from the City of Albuquerque as Accounting Manager. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Victor is survived by his wife, Jannie, and his children Kelli De Angelis-Craig (Troy), Victor C. De Angelis, Daniel Andrew De Angelis and his step-children Gwenda Kinzie-Cannova (Michele), Brenda Kinzie Beck (Michael), and Kevin D. Kinzie (Kathy) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A viewing and rosary will be held at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel on October 3rd, with viewing at 6:00 pm and the rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated the following day, October 4th, at 10:30 am at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming N.E. Internment will take place at 2:15 pm at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, where Victor will join his parents in eternal rest.
