Flowers, Victor Louis



Victor Louis Flowers, age 85, died peacefully in his sleep, and surrounded by his family, on Saturday, December 31, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas.

Victor was born on January 13, 1931, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Harvey and Edith (Graves) Flowers.

Victor served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. Victor married Barbara Ann Brearley in Zanesville on August 12, 1951, and together they raised six children. Victor later married Joyce Jennings.

His final years were spent in Clovis, New Mexico, with his daughter, Cathy, and her husband, Terry Blaschke, and Miles, his faithful dog, who lovingly cared for him.

Victor is survived by his sister, Janet Stapleton, and by his daughters, Deborah Sue, (Robert), Linda Carole Norton; Cathy Lynn, (Terry), Elizabeth Ann, (Perry), and sons John Eric (Deborah), and Robert Blair, (Sandra) and two step-sons Charles and John George. Victor had 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and his wife, Joyce.

Services for Victor Flowers will be Saturday, January 7, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, in Clovis, New Mexico at 10:30 am. A graveside service will be held in Ohio at a later date.
