Vieva L. Kells Obituary
Kells, Vieva L.

Vieva L. Kells ("Vicie") died on May 16, 2016. Vicie was born in Marshville, West Virginia on March 25, 1926. Vicie spent much of her time in Ravenswood, West Virginia where she was married to Edward B. Kells, who predeceased her on April 5, 1990, and raised her son Steven Edward Kells, who predeceased her on September 9, 2012. Vicie moved to New Mexico to be with her son in 2001 and it was unfortunate that Steve predeceased his mother. However, she enjoyed her time in Albuquerque, including her many friends. Vicie exemplified the principle that "they will know we are Christians by our love"-Vicie was a true Christian, as shown by her love. Her son Steve was a prominent architect, involved with many historic architectural projects in Albuquerque and New Mexico including the Kimo Theater, the Albuquerque High School renovation, and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad in Chama.

Vicie is survived by her best friend, Linda Ellis of Ravenswood, WV; her cousin, Connie Vonachen of Burlington, WI; and her niece, Kim Pulice of Bridgeport, WV.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vicie's memory to Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Inc., 4421 McLeod NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Questions: call Bill Lock, 505-880-1200.
