Violet Mary Burnam



Violet Burnam, 93, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at the Ravenna Assisted Living facility. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Burnam, also of Albuquerque; her daughter, Linda F. Cepeda (William); son, James C. Fogleman (Julie); step-daughters, Cindy Suppona (Roger), Judy Jones (Brian); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years,

Carroll L. Fogleman; her brother, Daniel Wielebski; and her sister, Patricia

Kellogg.

Violet was born in Milwaukee, WI, where she lived until her marriage to first husband Carroll. They moved to Baltimore, MD, then Omaha, NE, Roswell, NM, and finally to Albuquerque. She was an executive secretary at Sandia Corporation for many years until she retired. She married second husband

Richard Burnam 27 years ago. They traveled frequently, played golf, and enjoyed their retirement until she became ill. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, master gardener, bird-watcher, knitter, avid reader, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Interment arrangements were private.
