Meech, Walter Victor Jr.

Walter Meech Jr. was born August 18, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Walter V. Meech Sr. and Marguerite J. (Kaltenrieder) Meech both deceased. He passed away peacefully in his sleep March 18, 2017.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Charles A. Meech. Walter is survived by his sisters, Marguerite R. Sons and Alice G. Edwards. Wife Norma M. (Alexander) Meech of 62 years, and four children Walter L. Meech (Vicki), Robert D. Meech (Hortensia), Kathleen A. (Meech) Cash (Ronnie), Daniel W. Meech (Patti), eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

He resided in Grants, New Mexico for the last 42 years and lived in Albuquerque New Mexico for 32 years prior.

From a very young age he had an entrepreneurial spirit, aiding in the livelihood of his parents and siblings and then extended family. Walter had a great passion for the family business, C & E Concrete, especially the Tinaja Pit. His sparkling blue eyes and fun loving spirit drew people in. He was a friend to everyone. His ability to see a building plan and then be able to visualize in his mind a 3-D picture of the whole project was phenomenal. He was not always articulate, but his mental pictures were very clear and detailed.

He loved fishing, cooking and baking yummy bread. He was our family photographer all through his grand parenting years.

Memorial Service Saturday March 25, 2017, 1010 Bondad, Grants New Mexico 87020, at 11:00am.

Walter has donated to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch for many years, in Lou of flowers we would appreciate any donations go to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, in memory of Walter Meech. New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix Rd. NE, Alb, NM 87110.
