William McKinley Obituary
McKinley, William

William "Bill" McKinley began changing the world around him on November 8, 1960. Although his last breath was taken on December 26, 2015, his life and legacy are still shaking the lives of others who remain.

Bill was a man with outstanding integrity, relentless love, peace that surpasses all understanding, and divine wisdom. Although Bill was not perfect, his intentions were always pure. Bill smiled constantly, lighting up the darkness around him. He was an analytical problem solver, always finding or creating a solution to all problems whether personal or work related. Bill was a man of visions and dreams.

Bill strove and succeeded at drawing others to Christ through his life and actions. Bill fought the good fight with every breath, including his last. He stood for honor, respect, and freedom.

Bill's parents, Robert and Victoria McKinley, and Fran Jones arrived in heaven before him. His surviving parents are Glen Jones and Miguel Alarid. He will wait to greet his wife, Karen, who he loved unconditionally. He would brag daily about how blessed he was to have her. He will also wait to greet his children, Max McKinley, Valerie McKinley and Marissa Griego, and Jennifer and Tina McKinley. Bill was a step-dad to Jared and Christa Wilson, Brandon and Stefanie Wilson, and Jennifer and Erick Petz. Bill was a very proud Papa to Lilliana, Colin, Baby Petz (due in April), Karissa, Rachel, Jonathan, Liam, Quinn, Anna-Lyn, and Leah. He was a proud brother to Lauretta and John Stoker, Geneva McKinley and Victor Coral, and Roberta and Martin Valdez. Bill also waits for his former wife, Exhilda and her husband, Ron Vigil who are his forever friends. He was a son, father, cousin, uncle, and friend to countless other people.

Bill was a history maker simply by following our Savior with such conviction and faith. We are confident the hole left in our hearts by his absence will be filled by His presence and continue to change lives with His power.

We will celebrate Bill's life at Believer's Center of Albuquerque church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the fund in his name at BBVA Compass Bank. The money will be used for helping our community.
