Hammy was a true friend. If you asked, he would give you the shirt off his back. I shall miss him a great deal.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I am thrilled that I was able to meet hammy while I was attending Mississippi State University and he was at LSU. He was always so much fun always joyful and never met a stranger. May he rest in peace. And may very happy memories comfort you during this time of sorrow

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Hammy and i served on the United Way of Acadiana and the Catholic Charities of Acadiana Boards. What a great man that loved all people and did whatever he could to help those most in need. I will miss his passion and desire to serve and his very practical and humble way in which he served...with a genuine and sincere heart. Praying for the for the family.

One of the most generous and sincere human beings I have ever had the privilege to engage. I so enjoyed our conversations about LSU football, politics, and life in general. He was so full of life and fun to be around. My sympathy and prayers go out to his wife Angi, his kids, and siblings, especially Fr. Hampton my good friend. In the words of his favorite vocalist Frank Sinatra, "He did it his way".

Wish I could be there to celebrate Hammy’s life. I knew him in college. He was the pied piper of fun, and could he dance! A true gentleman. Most sincere sympathies to his adored wife and family. I read about his philanthropies. He made a Christ sized mark on this world, and I know he is embraced by Christ now, living eternally in that love until someday, in God’s time, you will reunite with him. I might have to ask Angi for permission to dance with him again. God bless you all with a deep sense of peace!
