Mrs. Beatrice Arlene Hutson (Patterson) died peacefully on Jan. 9, 2018, in Chandler, Ariz., at the age of 91.
Arlene is survived by her children, Cathy and Ron McAlhaney, Nancy Kerbow-Chastang, Cheryl and Damion Haley, Patrick and Judit Hutson; her grandchildren, Ryan and Aowyn McAlhaney, Christian and Jennifer McAlhaney, Ashley and Ryan McAlhaney-Colis, Forest Kerbow, Jordan Kerbow, Landon Kerbow, Krichelle Kerbow, Dalton Kerbow, Dillon Kerbow and Monica Borawski (fiancee), Jaden Hutson, Emma Hutson and Hunter Hutson; and great-grandchildren, Hunter McAlhaney, Aiden McAlhaney, Connor McAlhaney, Madison McAlhaney Dylan Colis and Alexandra Colis. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Gunter Hutson; and grandson, Jesse Hutson.
Arlene was born to Erma Johnson and Patrick Patterson on Oct. 26, 1926, in Sparks, Okla. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1946, and from Southwestern Bible Institute in 1950. She married the love of her life, Gunter Hutson, in 1950. They drove the Alcan Highway from Oklahoma to the Alaska Territory and served as Pastors in Seward, Alaska. The family moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1957.
Arlene served as a substitute teacher as well as Real Estate Agent in Anchorage, and as Music Minister in Seward. She was a beloved wife and mother. Arlene and her family attended Anchorage First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, served as the choir director, children's choir director, and vocalist. She sang in numerous groups and many choirs for over 50 years. Arlene is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator and reunited with her loving husband.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chandler First Assembly of God Church, 532 W Ray Road, Chandler, AZ 85225. Flowers and condolences may be sent c/o Haley's 43625 W Hillman Drive, Maricopa, AZ 85138. A Reception will be held at the home of Melody Dix, 1283 Bautista Road in Gilbert, Ariz.
