Betty Lorraine (Roberts) Kittleson, age 90, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away at Providence Hospital on Feb. 27, 2018. A funeral service will be at Anchorage Baptist Temple on March 7, 2018, at 12 p.m., with visitation at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Graham Benson, Steve Boling, Timothy Williams, Robert "Bob" Kreun, Leo Jensen and Ruben Saldana.
Betty was born on Aug. 24, 1927, in Lake Crystal, Minn., to Charles and Myrtle Roberts. Betty was the youngest of three siblings; she joined a sister, Charlotte "Char" Padelford, and a brother, Charles "Gus" Johnson.
Betty married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Kittleson, on Christmas Day 1950. The couple had four children: Della, Spring, Penny and Robert. Bob's devoted military service took the family from their home in Minnesota to places as far away as Okinawa, Japan, finally settling in Anchorage in 1972.
Betty was the beloved darling wife of the late Robert W. Kittleson; devoted mother of Della Kittleson (who preceded her in death) and Spring Boling, Penny Leach and her husband Brian, and Robert Kittleson II; loving grandmother to Autumn Jensen and her husband Leo, Adella Williams and her husband Tim, Amanda "Minnow" Boling and her fiance Robert "Bob" Kreun, Rebekah and Elizabeth Leach; doting great-grandmother to Brittney Jensen, Cooper, Cady, Kayden and Aleesha Williams; as well as a beloved sister, aunt, friend and surrogate family member to many.
Services have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Homes Heritage Chapel at Angelus, 440 East Klatt Road in Anchorage.
