Longtime Alaskan resident Beverly J. Wiles, age 79 died Thursday,

December 1, 2011 after a lengthy illness. In honoring her wishes there will

not be a formal funeral service. A gathering of friends and family will be

held at a later date to celebrate her life.

Beverly was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Carbon

County High School, May 1950 in Price, Utah and later attended Carbon

College in Price, Utah. Beverly was a graduate of Carbon Seminary, Church

of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Beverly moved to Alaska at age 19 with her sister Norma Pfeiffer after

accepting employment with U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of

Public Roads in Juneau, Alaska. She eventually moved to Anchorage from

Juneau where she worked as a legal secretary. It was then she met and

married Eugene F. Wiles. Beverly was a wonderful, loving and dedicated

wife, mother and grandmother. She loved animals and was an avid

supporter of many animal support groups and charities. Beverly had a

strong spirit and was the matriarch of her family. She is dearly missed and


Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Eugene F. Wiles, her brother

Kenneth, her sister Marilyn, and her mother and father.

She is survived by her children; Brent Mill, Toni (Mill) Groves, Shelly

(Wiles) Fisher, Andrea (Wiles) Rowland-Jackson and her sister Norma


Grandchildren; Joy Traglio, Caley Fisher, Marcus Fisher, Sean Fisher,

Aricka Rowland, Faye Rowland, Kristin Mill, Rachel Mill and Tamara


Great grandchildren; Kaydin Mill, Jake Eastaugh, Cody Eastaugh, Jenna

Eastaugh and Ayla Brenn Harris.
