Christopher Lee Brooks Sr., 38, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Dec. 24, 2016. A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 7, 2017, at the VFW Post 9978, 101 Oklahoma Street, Anchorage, AK 99504, from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Christopher Sr. was born on Oct. 3, 1978, in Seattle, Wash., to Debbra Brooks and Leedell Campbell. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1997. He married Danielle (Wright) Brooks on Feb. 26, 2016, in Anchorage. Chris Sr. enjoyed all things sports and was a devoted Seattle Seahawks fan. Chris Sr. had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone at any given time. In his free, time was Chris enjoyed spending time with his wife, Danielle; mother, Debbra; sister, Roberta; his children; and a handful of really close friends. Chris Sr. could be found outside playing basketball with neighborhood children, barbecuing with family and friends or inside on his gaming systems. It was the simple things that Chris enjoyed most about life.
Christopher Sr. is preceded in death by his father, Leedell Campbell; grandfather, Odell Campbell; grandmother, Lena "Honey" Benton; grandmother, Roberta Brooks; uncle, Eardie Brooks; and aunt,
Shirley Brooks.
Christopher Sr. is survived by his mother, Debbra Brooks; sister, Roberta Brooks; six children as follows, Jaida Brooks, Christopher "Bug" Brooks Jr., Michael Brooks, Trevone Brooks, John Paul Jackson and Jaycee Brooks; one beloved stepson; a large family that spreads across Alaska, Washington state, Las Vegas, Nev., and Arizona; as well as a community of friends and extended family.
