Long time Alaska resident, Connie Olsen, passed away at home on May 8, 2015, in the company of her husband and two grandsons. Connie was born on March 6, 1930, in St. John, N.D., married in Montana on Dec. 16, 1949, and traveled the world with her beloved husband, Richard, who served with the U.S. Air Force until retirement. She is survived by her husband, Richard Olsen; daughter, Linda McClain; grandchildren, Thomas Enright, Erin McClain Pace, David Enright, Courtney McClain, Richard Enright and Rebekah McClain Osteros; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Eloise Hagen; and brother, Verlin Holum. Connie was preceded by her parents, Elmer and Clara Holum; brothers, Everett and James; sister, Milly; and daughter, Connie Kay. A memorial celebration with the family will be held at Anchorage Baptist Temple on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2 p.m. Donations in Connie's memory, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Doctors Without Borders.
