Mr. David Mark Pickworth, 68, passed away on Feb. 22, 2016, in Wasilla, Alaska. David was born on Aug. 13, 1947, in Lorain, Ohio. He was a Vietnam veteran, and served our country in the United States Army. He moved to Alaska in 1970. He spent a lot of his years in Anchorage, Alaska. During his working years, he was employed with Gifford Aviation, Pickworth and Associates, Arctic Tug and Barge, Northern Marine Services, Conoco Phillips and the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation. David was well known for his kind heart, generosity, honesty, sense of humor, work ethic, stubbornness and temper. When the time came, he let it be well known that he didn't want a memorial, a gathering or anything "mushy" after his passing. He was loved by many, and will be missed, but will definitely not be forgotten. That is as "mushy" as this will get. David is survived by his mother, Margaret McCarver; two brothers, Steve and Tom Pickworth; and sisters, Mary Jane Payton, Becky Kunz, Peggy Pickworth and Pam Johnson. He is also survived by his three sons, Darryl, Devin and Daniel Pickworth; and grandsons, Gabin and Marius Pickworth. At his request, David's Ashes will be scattered into Cook Inlet.
