Dwan "Casey" Jean Neill, 62, passed away on Dec. 20, 2016, at Alaska Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at 1 p.m., at the Independent Baptist Church of Anchorage, located at 1801 East 68th Avenue.
Casey was born in Norfolk, W.Va., on Nov. 13, 1954. She grew up in Lakeland, Fla. After the death of her mother as a young adult, she became very independent and ventured out on her own. She met the love of her life, John Neill, and they embarked on their Alaskan adventure on a road trip in the early 1980s. She started as a teller at First National Bank Alaska in 1989, and worked her way up to an Officer of the bank. Through her various roles at the bank, she touched the lives of most employees over her 27 year tenure. She served as President of both the local chapter of the Alaska Institute of Banking and Childcare Connection currently known as Thread. She was an active member of Anchorage East Rotary Club until her health started to decline. She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church of Anchorage. Casey was the most caring and loving person to all she touched and in the last year of her life was most amazing as she lived her life to the fullest under the strain of her failing heart.
She had an electrifying personality and could light up any room with her amazingly positive attitude and brilliant smile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Knowlton Neill Sr.; and family members, Ronnie Brinn and Virginia Lynn Brinn.
She is survived by family members, Buddy and Gladys Brinn, Chasity and Billy Dunn, Brinn Dunn, Nathan (Krissi) Brinn and Natalie and Raylynn Brinn; and friends, Kim, James and Laree Frensley, Yolanda, Robert, Randonn, Rylonn, Razzmin Wray, Max and Amelia Stoops, Kathleen Madden and Greg Solomon and Monica, Sarah and Kylie Hall.
