Emery is the daughter of Deirdre St. Marie Reich and James Kenneth Owens, Jr.

Her family wrote: "Dearest baby, please know that our greatest blessing was having you. Heaven's gain was our loss when our angel was called into the arms of our Lord.

"Her grandparents' are Paul and Deborah Reich and James and Constance Owens.

"Emery is deeply loved by her mommy and daddy, her grandparents, her great-grandparents, her aunts and uncles, her cousins and many others.

"Emery will always remain her parents' precious baby. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. She is the answer to their prayers, and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation.

"Emery gave us a lifetime of love during her short time on earth. For this child we pray."

The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Alaska Medical Center for the incredible care provided to Emery and the entire family.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations sent to Peacebear.org. Peace Bear is an organization that provides comfort to families leaving the hospital with empty arms through the gift of a peace bear.

Cremation arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
