Emma Lynn Hanson, infant daughter of Brittany Hanson and Joe Hayes, died Dec. 31, 2006, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
A service will be at 4 p.m. today at Witzleben Family Funeral Home's Bragaw Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will be after the service at the home of Emma's grandparents and mother at 4991 E. Fifth Ave.
Emma Lynn was born Sept. 23, 2006, in Anchorage to Brittany Hanson of Anchorage and Joe Hayes of Fairbanks.
"In her short time here she was a source of great joy and many smiles to all of those who knew her," her family wrote.
She is survived by her parents; maternal grandparents, Bert and Reb Hanson of Anchorage; aunts and uncles, Brian Hanson and Monica Velasco, and Lindsey and Chris Knapp of Anchorage, and Kimarie and Dennis Michel of Luling, La.; cousins, Dane and Jillian Michel of Luling, and Kaddie and Kristal Hanson and Kaden Knapp of Anchorage; maternal great-grandparents, Dean and Mary Nation of Willow; great-aunts and -uncles, Dudlee and Doug Pense of Fairbanks, Ellen and Don Gamel, Glen and Becky Hanson, all of Anchorage; and many relatives from her father's side of the family in Baltimore.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Emma's name at Northern Skies Federal Credit Union
