Fredric "Freddy" Lee Herron was born on Aug. 25, 1937, and passed away on April 4, 2016, leaving a legacy of love and laughter; surrounded by his wife, Doris; his son, Doug; and his daughter, Charlene; the Lord blessed Freddy taking him home to Him, ending his suffering with advanced dementia. Freddy leaves all of us with a beautiful legacy of love and laughter. He is remembered by his deep love for so many. His humor and love of practical jokes takes us through this time of loss with many memories that bring laughter and joy. He is survived by his wife, Doris; and her children, Dustin and Dawn; his son and daughter, Doug and Charlene; and their mother, Sally; his cherished grandchildren, Katie, Spencer, Camron, Tyler and Noah; his brothers, Ralph (Trish) Herron and Brian (Alice) Herron; his sister, Carolyn (Hubert) McLeod; and many beloved nieces and nephews. We will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 7208 Duben Ave. in Anchorage, Alaska, at 11 a.m., followed by a barbecue reception at Charlene's house, 410 Patterson Street. Please bring a camp chair and a story or two of a memory of Freddy. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local hospice or Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska.
