Harold Robert Hartman, resident of Wasilla, Alaska, died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, in Parker, Colo., after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease, at the age of 90.
Harold was born on Aug. 29, 1927, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Harold and Mary Hartman. Harold served in the U.S. Army World War II and U.S. Maritime Service. In 1962, he began his career in the Telecom industry retiring from AT&T in 1990. He loved anything with a motor, especially motorcycles, snow mobiles and speed boats. Harold was a ham radio operator and used Morse code and voice to communicate with people all over the world. He had a passion for computer and always trying to keep up with the newest technology.
Harold will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Jean (Humphries); and his children, Mark (Kristine) and Mike (Randi). Harold will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren: Zach, Rachel, Baily and Emily.
Harold and Jean started their life together in Wasilla and their final resting place will be together in Wasilla. Following his wishes, there will not be a service but his ashes will be buried at Wasilla Cemetery in summer 2018. Harold's life was full knowing he was a child of God and Harold is at peace in the presence of God.
