Anchorage resident Jane Ann "Janie" Henningsen, 73, passed away due to complications of lung cancer at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska on February 20, 2012.

Her cremated remains will be scattered at Ike Kinswa State Park in Silvercreek, Washington.

Janie was born in Alton, Illinois on July 13, 1938. She graduated from Marquette High School in Alton, Illinois in 1956. From 1956 to 1960 she worked for the American Airlines in Chicago, from 1960 to 1964 she worked for Northwest Airlines in Anchorage, Alaska, 1964 to 1975 she worked for JCP Credit Department in Anchorage, Alaska, from 1975 to 1985 she worked for Alaska Airlines and then in 1985 she worked in the Credit Department at ACS where she retired on July 13, 2000.

Janie was affiliated with Holy Family Catholic Church, her favorite hobbies included reading, knitting, crocheting, cooking, bowling, and traveling and she loved NFL football.

Her husband wrote, "She was the love of my life for 54 years."

Survivors include her husband Gerald H. Henningsen of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter Karen L. Rollman of Olympia, WA; son Kirk L. Henningsen of Puyallup, WA; granddaughter Nicole Ann Rollman of Olympia, WA; daughter-in-law Lisa Henningsen of Puyallup, WA; granddaughter Hope Henningsen of Puyallup, WA; grandson Matthew Henningsen of Puyallup, WA; step-grandson David Rugen of Kiev, Ukraine, and her maternal aunt Gerena Dunham.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Irene and Lawrence Pryor.
