Anchorage resident Jordan D. Williams, 27, died April 18, 2009, in an avalanche in Valdez. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Life Church, 12245 Jerome St., with a funeral at 2 p.m. Pastor Tim Sullivan will officiate. Jordan was born on July 1, 1981, in Valdez. He received a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and worked at J.K.A. Land Development as a construction manager from 2005 to 2007 in Palm Desert, Calif. From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a schedule engineer for Kiewit Construction. He was a member of the Apostolic Praise Temple. He enjoyed snowmachining, his children and family, and the video game Rock Band. His family wrote, "Jordan was a wonderful, loving, strong and highly respected husband, father, son and friend. He left three small pieces of him on this earth, who will make this world a better place because of him. We will dearly miss him, but never forget him." Survivors include his wife, Amanda Williams; son, Jarek Williams; daughters, Shaeley Williams and Katelynn Williams; mother, Melinda Williams; father, Bob Williams; and sisters, Becky Pulse and Tamara Evens of California, and Sara Parks of Nevada. Donations may be made to the Jordan Williams Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank. Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
