Regina Walker passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Her celebration of life will be held this Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 11 a.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, 333 Price Street in Mountain View. Repast will immediately follow the service, and will be held at VFW Post 10252, located on Mountain View Drive.
Regina was born in Columbus, Ga., and called to be with her lord at the age of 80. Regina married Willard Walker and moved to Anchorage in 1963. She retired from the Anchorage School District in 1980, and did her due diligence supporting the community. She was a lifetime member of the Fairview Lions Club and spent most of her time serving the Lord at Leake Temple AME Zion Church in Mt. View.
Regina was blessed with a large and loving family. She raised her family with love, patience, discipline and humility. She was known as "Grandma Jean" to the kids that knew her, and loved by everyone for her honesty. Through her children, family and friends, Regina will live forever!
She is survived by her sister, Della Fogle of Anchorage; and her brothers, Clifford (Flo) Davis and Jeff (Susie) Davis III, both of Columbus, Ga.; her children, Natalie (Donald) Reeves, currently stationed in Podgorica, Montenegro, and Anthony (LaShalle) Walker and Stacey (Jennifer) Walker, both of Anchorage; her grandchildren, Xia Hale of Columbus, Ga., Jaarain and Kamea Hale of Anchorage, D'mari Bibbs-Walker, Asiray Bibbs-Walker, Tierra Paulk from Waldorf, Md., Jarel Paulk of Anchorage and Garnell Paulk of Hayward, Calif., Tasha Bousley of Las Vegas, Nev., Venicia Kelly of Laurel, Md., Devon Walker of Waldorf, Md., and Isiah, Micaiah and Tristin Walker of Anchorage; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Regina is preceded in death by her late husband, Willard Walker; and her daughter, Pier Angelia Hale.
