Anchorage resident Robert Daniel Morris, Sr., 65, passed away at his home on April 8, 2012.

A public visitation will be held at Anchorage Moravian Church, Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11am with a service to follow at noon. He will be laid to rest at Fort Richardson National Cemetery at 1:30p.m.

Robert was born in Detroit, MI son of Arthur and Margaret Morris on September 20, 1946. He worked as a sales Rep for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.

His family wrote, "Robert enjoyed fishing, family gatherings and berry picking, He was drafted out of High School in the U.S. Army Chemical Corp. Served in the Vietnam War; Received the Purple Heart, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal and numerous others. Robert served a total of 21 years in the Armed Forces."

Survivors include his wife Ella Morris; son Robert Daniel Morris Jr. and his wife Anne M. Morris and their child Silvanna Danielle; daughter Jacqueline Lillie Yockell and her husband William "Bill" B. Yockell and their children Andrea M. and Kaylee A. Yockell; daughter Rosalind Merry Petrovich and her husband Michael Lee Petrovich and their children Danielle Marie, Christopher Lee, Michael William, and Wessley Richman Petrovich; daughter Charlene Moulfair and her husband Jason P. Moulfair and their children Mistie Marie, Elizabeth Lucy, Jason P. Moulfair II, Sean Connery, and Jesse James Moulfair; daughter Christie Ann Morris and her child Orion Daniel Lee Hensley.

He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Daniel Morris and his mother Margaret Morris.
