Girdwood resident Stephen Joseph Pringle, 31, died at home on Nov. 1, 2010.

A service for family and close friends will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Girdwood United Methodist Chapel.

Stephen was born Aug. 1, 1979, in Anchorage and grew up in Girdwood, attending Girdwood Elementary and Junior High School. He graduated from Dimond High School in Anchorage in 1997.

Stephen worked as a boat and RV technician.

Stephen loved Alaska and was proud to share this love with his two children. His sincere smile and genuine love for his family and friends will be greatly missed.

He leaves behind his daughter and son, Ever and Archer Pringle; parents, Susan and Mike Opalka and Steve and Linda Pringle; sister, Jennifer Pringle Taylor; brother-in-law, Ryan Taylor; niece, Ava Taylor; brother, Kevin Opalka; grandmother, Mary Pringle; uncles, Woody Garrett and Phillip Pringle; cousins, Marc Garrett, Amy Cook and Eric Pringle; and former wife, Melissa May-Pringle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Ever and Archer may be made to First National Bank, account 70636196.
