Bryan Wild Obituary

Bryan Gene Wild, son of Rodney and Bettsie Wild, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014. He was 28 years old. Bryan was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and companion; his was an incredible presence in many, many lives. Bryan was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Aug. 2, 1986. As soon as he could stand, he was walking and as soon as he could walk he was skating. His love for all things hockey led to playing Juniors in Canada, and then coaching and mentoring countless others. We would like everyone Bryan played hockey with or coached to wear their jerseys to the service. Bryan's other great love was flying. He started his career flying small aircraft, graduating from flight school and eventually earning the distinction of Captain for PenAir. Bryan's family would love for his many airline buddies to represent their connection with Bryan by wearing their uniforms to the celebration of life as well. Bryan is survived by his parents, Bettsie and Rodney Wild; his siblings, Miranda, Lena and Talon Wild and Ashley, Marissa and Kianna King; grandparents, Ron and Sharon Wild, Walt and Barb Swafford and Patt Garrett; his great-grandpa, Troy Garrett; and great-grandma, Georgia Fay Nicholas; his favorite uncles, Walt Swafford and Randy Wild; his godmother, Kathy Jolley; and many loved and adored cousins; extended family; and friends. While his physical presence is now gone, Bryan's kind heart, trademark integrity, strength of character, sense of humor and remarkably loving disposition will live on in the hearts of his many friends and family members forever. Bryan's beautifully warm smile and strong hugs easily brightened even the darkest of days; during this time his family asks that we embrace each other in the spirit of love and light that was Bryan Gene Wild. A celebration of Bryan's life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at 6 p.m. at the Chugiak High School Gymnasium. A donation account for Byran has been set up by PenAir and donations may be made at Wells Fargo Account 2640891905.

Rodney and Betsie,
My deepest condolences for your loss. Please let me know if you need anything at all.

"May you see God's light on the path ahead when the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear, even in your hour of sorrow, the gentle singing of the lark. When times are hard may hardness never turn your heart to stone, may you always remember when the shadows fall-you do not walk alone."

I knew Bryan from the hockey community, he was a gentle soul. God has a New Angel now and he will have the honor of flying all the Angels in Heavens Skies. As these days will be filled with darkness, remember there is hope and light. He might be gone in Spirit but if you keep is memory alive, he will always be right by your side. It is hell we are living in now and when we die, that is when we truly start to live ??

Dear Rodney&Bettsie and Family,
The service for Bryan touched me deeply last night. To see the many people i care so much about showing love to your family touched my heart i couldn't sleep all night thinking and praying for you all. i called my Mom and Told her i loved her like Bettsie said to do and have given more hugs today than i have done in many years with Bryan on my mind. The stories i learned from his family and friends- about this wonderful son and friend has left a beautiful way we all can follow. Rodney we all look up to you your family and Bryan will always be in my families heart.
Love,

In the few months I knew Bryan, what I will keep with me are the hugs I got from him between each of his flights. He always came into the gate arms wide open with a smile that always lit up the room. I will miss his sincere fun-loving manner, as I know everyone else he came in contact with, will as well.
